The fried chicken is crispy, juicy, and well-seasoned, and the sides are just as good. I tried the fried okra and it was perfectly crispy and flavorful. Everything tasted fresh and comforting, and the staff was really nice and welcoming. A great spot for fried chicken and Southern sides.

First time eating at Cozy Coop. The chicken thighs were flavorful and not too greasy. The red beans and rice was good and the cornbread wasn't dry and with the hot honey sauce it was very good. I will be eating here again.

One word four letters: YEET! This restaurant's food was super good, served nice and hot and the service was very nice. I was super satisfied and happy I came. I had two chicken tenders, mac and cheese bite, sweet potato, corn bread and fried okra. Nothing disappointed.

UPDATE: Adding a picture from my most recent visit and the Mac n cheese is STILL dry unlike the restaurants claim that it is usually creamy. Ate everything except that 1 side. Just wanted to order it again to give a fair shot. Although it may be moist when others go, that has not been MY experience. OK 👌🏾 Googled ... “soul food near me” and this was one of the options. Ordered takeout- - - the special *meat + 3 sides (2 fried wings, greens, candied yams, macaroni)* Only complaint was the extra dry macaroni. All else was on point. Consistently good food. I’m a soul food critic. Normally, I’d rather have my own cooking. Everything I’ve had is great! Chicken is juicy and perfectly seasoned. I got crispy wings and a breast that was NOT dry. I also had yams - not too sweet but just right; same with the plantains. Whose grandma is cooking? Lord ... knows it’s somebody who loves to cook!!! The greens needed a dash of hot sauce but that’s it. I’d love to see Turnip greens on the menu and fried squash! Biscuits were buttery and fluffy.
